No new journal since the past year, happy new year!
So I've been painting using acrilic paint and oil paint only for weeks and in spite of how much I like working with oil paint, I'm glad I'm done with it now because I can't stand paint thinner's smell anymore. I tried odorless paint thinner and I mostly use that solvent these days, but... the whole builing where paint studios are located smells like turpentine.
Time for some digital painting now!

I feel frustrated. I'm unable to draw or paint as much as I'd like -_-
And I'm stressed due to a massive painting project with a short deadline which I'm not even started yet.

Drawing =/= Painting =/= Illustration =/= Sketch
3D Render =/= Photography
They aren't synonyms AT ALL.
I think it's time for dA to make guidelines narrowing some categories but knowing their staff, they would say PS brushes and drawings with a blurry photo as background can be considered artistic photography if that's the submitter's wish.
It's a pity, really. The whole community would be tidier and it would be easier to spot exactly what you're looking for and therefore finding artists you weren't aware of.
